Below is a public policy update from the Alliance for Community
Media regarding the Congressional, FCC and Supreme Court decisions being decided on our behalf. Arkansas representative Mark Pryor is serving on the Senate Commerce Committee who will be making a big impact on the future of Community Media. Please let him know why PEG and Access to the Media is important to you!

Here is more concise information (see attachments) and some sample
letters to pass along so that you to take action regarding Congressional
and FCC actions regarding the survival of Community Media.
Only you can do this-and it must be done ASAP!
Contact, write, visit, and/or email your Congressmen (Senators and
Representatives) and ask them to write a letter to the FCC ASAP urging
them to act on our petition.
Let us know once you have done this so we can use it to build momentum.

Simply download it, fill it out on your computer, then either print it and bring down to the station or email it to heather@catfayetteville.org!

It's official...again. The Senate Commerce Committee Tuesday scheduled a
confirmation hearing for proposed new FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, as
well as for the renomination of Robert McDowell for his Republican
commission seat.
The hearing will be June 16 at 2:30 p.m. Genachowski's nomination hearing
has been scheduled once before, then pulled quickly. This time it is

Need Camera Operator

We need 2 camera operators to fill out a 4-camera shoot currently scheduled for 10AM on Saturday, June 27th 2009. At least one of the operators (preferably both) would be CAT-certified.
The event is the 2009 NWA Pride Annual Parade. Lineup starts at 8AM and the parade kicks off at 10AM. The parade itself will be over no later than 11AM or so with after-parade festivities planned at the Agri-Park on N. Garland.
